Places to fish in the county include: Baker Reservoir, Gunlock
Reservoir, Quail Creek Reservoir, Sand Hollow Reservoir; and in nearby
counties: Enterprise Reservoir, Panguitch Lake, Kolob Reservoir, Navajo
Lake, and Lake Mead in Nevada.
Bass Fisherman
The states best large mouth bass fishing is in our back yard- Sand Hollow, Quail Creek and Gunlock resevoirs, here in Washington County, Utah. Not only that, but add two of Utah's best smallmouth bass fisheries, Upper Enterprise and Newcastle reservoirs and you arrive at one of western United States' best bass fishing areas.
Fishing Areas
Baker Reservoir is located north of St. George on highway 18.
Gunlock Reservoir is northwest of St. George on highway FAS-416.
Quail Creek Reservoir is north of St. George up I-15 to the Hurricane Exit.
Sand Hollow Reservoir is just past Quail Creek Reservoir toward Hurricane.
Upper and Lower Enterprise Reservoir is an hour north of St. George up Highway 18, then left to the town of Enterprise.
Duck Creek
Panguitch Lake is south of the town of Panguitch. This link give good history and stock load info.
Kolob Reservoir is several miles north of Zions Canyon (close to the northern section of the park).
Navajo Lake is east of Cedar City and Cedar Breaks National Monument, and just west of Duck Creek.
Lake Mead is 60 miles southwest of St. George (about a 1 hour drive).
